Werken bij UNIQLO

Over UNIQLO

Uniqlo has enjoyed strong growth by offering high-quality casual wear at reasonable prices based on its SPA (Specialty Store Retailer of Private Label Apparel) business model, which spans product design, manufacture, distribution and retail.

The first Uniqlo store opened in 1984 in Japan. Uniqlo now has more than 1700 stores and worldwide operations, including the U.K., China, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United States, France, Singapore, Russia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Germany, Belgium and Australia.

Part of the Fast Retailing group, Uniqlo is truly determined to achieve the goals in the group's mission statement: "Changing clothes. Changing conventional wisdom. Change the world." and to become the #1 Retail Apparel Group in the world.

The first UNIQLO store opened its doors in June 1984, proving the success of the SPA manufacturer retailer model controlling the entire process from product planning, production, distribution and marketing. UNIQLO enjoyed (and continues to enjoy) superb growth by providing high quality casual wear at remarkably affordable prices for men, women and kids.

Our clothes are simple and essential yet universal, so people can freely combine them with their own unique styles, in any way they choose, every day of the year.

Even since UNIQLOs humble beginnings in 1984, UNIQLO has continued to aspire towards excellence in quality, design and technology, and has managed to achieve as such. But even so, UNIQLO still strives onwards and upwards. Not in pursuit of perfection, but in evolution.

UNIQLO is more than just a clothing brand. But a way of thinking. A steady consciousness of constant change, diversity, and the challenging of conventions.

UNIQLO believes that everyone can benefit from simple, well-designed clothes. Because if all people can look and feel better every day, then maybe the world can be a little better too.

What first began as every day wear, UNIQLO has reinvented in Japan as LifeWear. LifeWear isn’t disposable clothing, but perfect components made with quality. We create LifeWear by evolving the ordinary, producing innovations big and small that benefit you ever day.

LifeWear. Simple made better.

UNLOCKING THE POWER OF CLOTHING

We believe we can turn the power of clothing into a force for good.
By designing, making and selling good clothing,
we can make the world a better place.
Good clothing means simple clothing, high in quality, and built to last.
It's clothing that enriches the lives of people
who wear it by giving them comfort, protection and pleasure.
It is produced in a way that is harmonious with nature,
without excessive burden on the environment.
Good clothing is made by people of diverse backgrounds
working with energy and enthusiasm, under conditions
where their health, safety and human rights are respected and upheld.
And we will extend this same spirit to our customers and all our stakeholders,
working with them to aspire to a better society where we all thrive.
This is our promise: to always work toward a better, more sustainable society.

UNIQLO Management Candidate Graduate Programme

Hours: Full Time

Contract: Permanent paid contract

Start date: End of August 2024

UNIQLO is a leading brand of the Fast Retailing Group, one of the largest apparel retailers in the world. UNIQLO respects the individuality and lifestyle of all customers and takes pride in creating high quality, long-lasting, innovative clothing at an affordable price.

As UNIQLO continues to open new stores every year, hundreds of graduates around the globe join the “UNIQLO Management Candidate” programme (UMC). In Europe, we are present in France, UK, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Luxembourg, Italy and Poland.

STRUCTURE OF THE UMC PROGRAMME

Month 1 to 4: Brand Ambassador

You will work as a Brand Ambassador in the store to master the UNIQLO shop-floor standards and processes which includes RFID checkout, omni-channel services, customer service, fitting rooms, deliveries, replenishment and more! We believe that to be an effective leader, you must be a role model in these little yet important tasks to create a unique customer experience while gaining the trust of your team. Alongside the on-the-job training, you will discuss with your COO your career aspirations, learn our business strategy from our global board members, and participate in people management workshops.

• Month 5 to 6: Supervisor

Now that you are a UNIQLO shop floor master, you are ready for some managerial responsibilities! You will be expected to create and adapt the daily work schedule of your store team, provide training and feedback to achieve sales and customer satisfaction. You will start your sales and product management training and become responsible for inventory ordering and performance of a specific product category. In addition, you will take part in corporate social responsibility initiatives.

• Month 7 to 12: Assistant Manager

Your new responsibilities are to assist the Store Manager with all operational aspects of the store to maximise business performance: strategically create shop floor layouts, adapt weekly rotas based on sales targets, construct training plans to enhance efficiency and talent bench strength, daily audit of the store presentation and take actions to achieve the highest level of standards.

Upon completing the programme, your capabilities and knowledge will be evaluated to decide if you need more time to hone your skills or if you are ready to be the next in line to manage your own multi-million revenue-making store.

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS

In Europe, many of our former UMCs have leveraged their extensive experience as Store Manager, moved  countries, worked on special projects, completed a temporary assignment in Head Office before taking on further senior leadership responsibilities in store operations, sustainability, in-store marketing, omni-channel, HR and more.
